It’s the 35th anniversary of the day a musical era came to an end.

Elvis Presley – hailed as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll – died at his home in Memphis on this day in 1977.

He was 42.

The anniversary’s being marked by 70,000 fans who have turned up to Graceland.
