Some €370,000 worth of drugs have been seized over the weekend at Dublin Airport.
Officers from Revenues Customs Service detained a man on Friday who had ingested 0.5 kilos of cocaine in pellet form with a street value of €35,000.
The 34 year-old British national had arrived on a flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice yesterday before Judge Patrick Clyne, where he was remanded in custody to appear again next week.
Separately, in a joint operation with the Garda National Immigration unit yesterday, officers discovered almost 17 kilos of herbal cannabis with a street value of €335,000. These were found in the baggage of a 42-year-old South African national who had arrived on a flight from Johannesburg.
He appeared in court earlier where Judge Patricia McNamara remanded him in custody to appear again at Cloverhill Court in a week.
