A total of 10,700 Canadian Visas are being made available to Irish citizens.

A Working Abroad Canada Expo takes place next weekend in Dublin (22nd and 23rd) and on March 26th in Cork.

People who secure jobs at the expo will be allocated a reserved number of visas.

Organisers of the Expo have been keen to point to research from UCC last year, that indicated 47% of today's emigrants were in fact employed in full-time jobs before leaving Ireland.
