At least 48 people have been killed in heavy storms in India. 

Torrential rains have been battering the country's eastern coast. 

Thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes, after rivers burst their banks.

Thirty rescue teams are now working in the flood zones to help evaccuate. 

This latest storm comes just weeks after a powerful cyclone hit the country, killing 22 people.
