At least five rockets have been fired from Syria hitting various locations through the Golan Heights in Israel.

An army spokeswoman said that it was not known who launched the rockets and the Israeli military did not return fire.

No injuries were immediately reported in both attacks.

The attack comes on the 48th day of the ongoing battle between Israel and Hamas in and around Gaza.
