50 new jobs have been announced for Dublin. Charles River provides tech solutions for the financial services sector and is establishing an operation at Citywest in the city with support from the IDA.

The company already employs more than 600 staff worldwide and is beginning immediate recruitment of 30 staff.

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton said "Charles River is a leading provider of tech solutions for the financial services industry, and today’s announcement that it is establishing a new high-end operation in Dublin is a great boost. I commend IDA on this win and wish Charles River every success with their new operation".

Tom Driscoll is Global Managing Director at Charles River. "Dublin's reputation for a strong technical workforce makes it an ideal location for expanding our managed services team" he added.

The firm has more than 600 employees worldwide, and serves over 350 investment firms in 43 countries.

Meanwhile 20 new engineering jobs are coming on stream at Logentries in Dublin. The data management company has tens of thousands of users in over 100 countries.

The compnay has offices in Dublin, Prague and Boston and is now looking to double its size and in the coming months.

"We will be seeking to fill 20 open engineering positions in Dublin where the company is looking for software developers, data scientists and devops engineers" said Logentries' Co-founder, Dr. Trevor Parsons.
