Fifty per cent of voters now feel there is a need for a new political party according to a new opinion poll in today's Sunday Independent.
The Millward Brown nationwide poll, conducted this month, found that the desire for a new political party is strongest amongst women - young to middle-aged voters - and those living in Connacht and Ulster and from poorer backgrounds.
The findings come just weeks after the budget - in which many argued that the Government broke some of their election promises.
