Around 500 people protested against water charges outside Dáil Eireann this afternoon.
The protesters garthered outside Leinster House as as the first sitting of the new Dáil went on inside.
The demonstration was attended by some members of the 32nd Dáil, including Richard Boyd Barrett and Paul Murphy of AAA-PBP.

Kildare Street is currently closed at the Molesworth Street junction due to the gathering.
Protesters said that working class people will never accept the charge.
Explaining what motivated him to attend the protest one man said: "To protect my grand children, because they're going to be loaded with a bill they had nothing to do with.”
While a mother said she was there because “there are a lot of families who are finding it dufficult to pay everything else, without having to pay this ridiculous charge.”
