Gardaí have released seven people that were questioning in connection with the alleged rape of a young girl in south Co. Dublin.
Five men aged between 19 and 47, and two women in their forties, were detained in Dublin and Wexford yesterday.
Files are now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The alleged abuse was carried out over five years, when the girl was aged between four and nine years old, at her home in south Co. Dublin. The girl is now ten years old.
Last year the girl was taken into care, on the basis that she had been neglected by her Mother, and while she was in care authorities became aware of the alleged sexual activity involving her.
