More than 60 people have been hurt in a train crash in Conneticut, near New York City.
A derailment caused two commuter trains to collide head on, in Fairfield, Connecticut during the evening rush hour yesterday, at 6.10 local time. One train was heading to New York City, while the other had come from Grand Central terminal, in Manhattan.
Governor of Conneticut, Dannel P. Malloy said five people were critically injured.
"All I know was I was in the air, hitting seats, bouncing around, flying down the aisle and finally I came to a stop on one seat," Lola Oliver, 49, told The Associated Press. "It happened so fast I had no idea what was going on. All I know is we crashed."
Federal transport investigators will investigate the incident to determine the cause.
