PepsiCo is launching a new version of 7up on the Irish market.
7up Flat boasts the same recipe as the original product, but without the fizz.
The company says it is "pre-shaken and ready to serve."
The launch comes in response to a rise in consumer demand, as people across Ireland continue to shake, boil, whisk and stir, in a bid to flatten the product.
7up Brand Manager Joanna Lawlor said: "We know that flat 7up has long been a staple in Irish households, but we have noted several customer complaints of ‘dead arms’ from too much whisking and shaking – not to mention the number of pans that have boiled over.
"We're delighted to now offer the same great taste, without the fizz, or the fuss".
Lawlor added: "Through vigorous testing we found that it takes approximately seven hours and seven minutes for a bottle of 7up to perfectly flatten once opened, and we know that people just don’t have that time to spare".
7up Flat is being rolled out from Saturday, April 1st and will be available in 500ml bottles, 330ml cans and 2 litre bottles from €1.25.
PepsiCo says the product was ready to launch following "months of development and testing with a panel of Irish Mammys."
