Eight people are due back in court this morning charged in connection with the death of Dale Creighton in Dublin on New Year's Day.

Mr. Creighton (20) was left on life support after he was attacked by a gang on a footbridge in Tallaght in the early hours of the January 1st - he died in hospital the following day.

11 arrests were made by gardaí investigating the attack - eight people were subsequently charged and are all due back in court today.
