A review has found that 85 people who travelled abroad may have incorrectly had their Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) stopped.
The Department of Social Protection says it has completed a review of all 2,500 cases where the payment was stopped.
In a statement, the Department said: "This review has identified some 85 cases that have the potential to be entitled to the Pandemic Unemployment Payment for a holiday period.
"The Department will be contacting the 85 individuals directly in the coming days to verify these cases."
Earlier, the Government said it will no longer cut people’s Pandemic Unemployment Payment if they travel to countries on the ‘green-list.’
The u-turn came after days of controversy over the use of State payments to prevent people from travelling abroad.
Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys said the policy would now be changed, but only for countries on the green list.
She said people can only travel to non green list countries "for essential reasons only".
