Gardai in Meath have arrested a 34-year-old man after a drug seizure in Navan. A house in the Beechmount area of Navan was searched by the Drugs Unit as part of an on-going investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.

During the course of the search cannabis with an estimated street value of €90,000 was seized. He was detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The man has since been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
