Often reading old letters reminds us of how little people change throughout the years. Such is the case with a young girl's letter to Santa that was recently discovered in Monmouth Girl's School in England.

The letter was found on a ledge in the chimney by a caretaker who was tasked with removing the brickwork from one for the bedrooms.

From the letter, written by one Haly H, it seems the author wanted a book called 'Tell England' and a "fancy dress with shoes."

The book dates from 1922, which is how the letter was dated.

In memory of Haley, the school has now framed the letter to be displayed along with a copy of 'Tell England.'
