Kate Middleton is undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.
Britain’s Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery in January and at the time it was not known she had cancer.
"However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present," the Princess said in a video statement.
"My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."

"It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay," she said.
Catherine also said she was "thinking of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer".
"For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone," she said.
The Princess’ diagnosis means she is the second member of the British Royal Family currently undergoing chemotherapy, with King Charles diagnosed with cancer earlier this year as well.
On a visit to Northern Ireland yesterday, Queen Camilla told locals her husband "doing very well".
Following the Princess' announcement, Buckingham Palace said the couple were “so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did”.
“Following their time in hospital together, His Majesty has remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law throughout the past weeks,” the statement said.
