Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after two fatal car crashes in Cork and Dublin.
At Coolfadda in Bandon, a 30-year-old man lost his life in a two-car crash shortly before six o'clock yesterday evening.
The man - who was driving one of the cars - was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A woman driving the second car was hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries.
In Dublin, a 62-year-old man has died in a single-car crash on the M50 before one o'clock this morning.
It happened between Junction 10 Ballymount and Junction 11 Tallaght.
The driver of the car, a 60 year-old woman, remains in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital.
