A man remains in custody in Limerick in connection with the murder of a man yesterday.

The body was discovered at a house on Barrack Hill at Wolfe Tone Street at around 5:30am yesterday morning. Gardaí were called to the property, after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance in the area.

According to a garda source, the man is Russian and was stabbed in the head.

A man in his 50s was arrested and is being questioned about the killing at Roxboro Road garda station.
