A pig will fly in Castleblaney in Co Monaghen - at a cost of €100,000.
The metallic sculpture of the sixth century legend St Maeldoid's Pig was commissioned by Monaghan Co Council.
Its will be placed on the approach route to Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, on the N2 Dublin/Derry route later this year.

One person who is not a fan of the sculpture is Brendan Hughes - a FF Cllr for Castleblaney and the Deputy Mayor.
Cllr Hughes along with Somhairle Mac Conghail, Arts Officer with Monaghan Co Council discussed the merits of the pig by artist David Annand with Jonathan.
