A three-week-old puppy has been seized by Gardaí in Dublin.
It was brought to Kevin Street Garda Station after a mobile patrol spotted her being ‘traded for drugs’ in the city centre.
Volunteers from Cork-based animal charity My Lovely Horse Rescue travelled to Dublin in the early hours of yesterday morning to take her into custody.

The charity’s co-founder Martina Kenny said they are grateful to Gardaí for saving the pup.
“A few years ago, we came across these kids who had exchanged a horse for a mobile and I thought that was the last I’d hear of that,” she told Newstalk.
“But we have become a society where we have no empathy.
“Animals are used and abused every single day now and at this point – what is happening in this country?”
The puppy has since been named Annabelle by My Little Horse Rescue.
