A murder investigation is underway after a pensioner was found dead in the bathroom of a house in County Armagh.
The man in his 70s was found at the house in the Annaghmare Road area of Crossmaglen on Saturday evening.
Police say the man suffered serious head injuries.
Police are now working to establish the circumstances surrounding his death and officers remain at the scene.
A 67-year-old man has been arrested and is being questioned on suspicion of murder.
Sinn Féin Councillor Aoife Finnegan said she knew the victim.
“I give my condolences to his friends and family,” she said.
“[He was] a very, very quiet man.
“[It’s] a rural area here and I would appeal to people that if there’s any way they can help the PSNI to come forward.”
Police are appealing to anyone with any information to contact them.
