A woman in her 60s has died after she was struck by a car near Farranfore in Co. Kerry.
The pedestrian was walking along the road at Longfield, Firies, just before 7 O'clock yesterday evening.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been removed to Kerry General Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Garda forensic collision investigators are still working at the scene, and the road remains closed this morning.
