There has been yet another adjournment in the trial of Aaron Brady, who was found guilty four years ago of murdering Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
The 33-year-old from Crossmaglen in County Armagh is accused of conspiring with another man to persuade a witness not to give evidence at his murder trial.
In 2020, Aaron Brady was convicted of murdering Detective Adrian Donohoe outside Lordship Credit Union – a crime for which he will have to serve at least 40 years in prison for.
This trial concerns an allegation that he conspired with another man - Dean Byrne from Cabra Park, Dublin - to persuade a prosecution witness not to testify at Brady’s murder trial.
Brady is also accused of a further attempt to pervert the course of justice by recording a video of another witness being interviewed by Gardaí.
The trial was due to begin on Monday but has been adjourned for three days in a row, with the prosecution barrister due to take instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions following what were described as “constructive talks” with Brady’s barrister.
