ABP Foods, the owners of the Silvercrest plant in Co Monaghan at the centre of the horse meat scandal, are due before an Oireachtas Agriculture meeting.
The Sunday Times reports that a number of members of the committee are seeking answers as to how horse DNA was was found in some of the frozen burgers they manufacture.
Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney, and the Food Safety Authority of Ireland are due before the committee on Thursday to explain how tests results showed the contaminated meat came from Poland.
