Four people have been arrested in connection with alleged witness intimidation in relation to the Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe murder trial.
In August, Aaron Brady of Crossmaglen, County Armagh was convicted of the capital murder of Detective Donohoe outside a County Louth credit union in January 2013.
On a cold and wet Friday night in January 2013, Det Garda Adrian Donohoe was shot dead during an armed robbery outside Lordship Credit Union in Co. Louth.
Aaron Brady was found guilty of taking part in the armed robbery, and of shooting the on-duty detective from close range.
His sentence hearing is due to take place next week.
During the trial, the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation began looking into claims of witness intimidation.
They also investigated allegations of attempts to pervert the course of justice and the unlawful use of a mobile phone in prison.
On the back of their investigation, four arrests were made today and they’re being questioned at various Garda stations across Dublin.
