An Aer Lingus flight bound for Dublin has been diverted this evening due to a medical emergency on-board.

The passenger fell ill during the flight which took off from Copenhagen and has now landed safely in Amsterdam.

A spokesperson for Aer Lingus confirmed that flight E1627 would refuel at Schiphol airport and take off for Dublin tonight.
