AIB Chairman, Richard Pym has responded to an accusation from Independent TD, Shane Ross who suggested that he is "milking" the bank through his €365,000 per year fee as chairman.
The AIB leader replied: "You did accuse me of milking the bank. I didn't set my own fee. I was offered the job. I'm not here for the money and there are many things that I could do that would make more money."
He continued: "I find your accusation offensive and I would ask that you might reconsider it."

Mr Ross tweeted about the AGM earlier in the morning, and promised that 'sparks would fly.' The former business editor of the Sunday Independent now represents Dublin South.
Mr Pym was also heckled and repeatedly interrupted during his opening address - he was forced to say that AIB "is not rotten anymore."
He also said that the bank hopes to repay Irish tax payers all of the €20.8bn that the State invested in it.
