Christmas shoppers will be hoping AIB's technical difficulties will be fixed today.

AIB customers with debit cards have been unable to use ATMs at other banks for the last two days.

But, yesterday, the problem extended to AIB machines.

Customers had problems at AIB's own ATMs because they were mistakenly registered as over their daily limit.

AIB credit cards haven't been affected so far.

The daily limit was reset at midnight last night, which may have resolved the debit card issue, although AIB says it's still working to resolve all technical issues.
