The Air Corps will receive four new helicopters as part of efforts to modernise Ireland's aerial capabilities.
Tánaiste and Minister for Defence, Micheál Martin, announced the acquisition of the new Airbus H145M helicopters today.
He says they will enhance the Air Corps in the areas of intelligence and surveillance.
Budget 2025 provided an extra 8-million euro to support Air Corps fleet maintenance and training costs in the new year.
