Amazon.ie has arrived for Irish customers.
The website will offer one day delivery, exclusive deals and a dedicated ‘Brands of Ireland’ store promoting Irish products and favourites like Barry's Tea and Bewley's.
The new home site means Irish users will avoid additional customs charges usually faced when ordering from Amazon UK or other European outlets.
Around 6,500 people across Dublin, Cork and Drogheda are employed by Amazon.

Speaking last year, Irish Times Consumer Affairs Correspondent Conor Pope said the company hopes for a significant increase in turnover from Irish customers.
"One of the things that Amazon.ie will be hoping is that it will be able to bring a lot of small and medium-sized Irish businesses onto its platform to sell to shoppers in the Republic of Ireland and outside of the Republic," he told Newstalk.
"At present Amazon has around 1,000 Irish sellers selling on its platform.
"With the creation of Amazon.ie it will be hoping to dramatically expand that reach and cater for an awful lot more Irish businesses.”
The online retail giant has a global valuation of US$2254 billion.
