A girl (8) has died following a collision in Co. Cork Thursday afternoon.
A woman in her 30s was also critically injured while, five other people received minor injuries.
The girl was a passenger in the car.
An investigation is underway following the two car collision which happened at Owenahincha Cross, at Rosscarbery at approximately 3pm.
Gardaí have confirmed the child's body has been removed to Cork University Hospital.
A second passenger - a woman in her early 30s - is being treated for the serious injuries she sustained at Cork University Hospital.
The driver of the car and three other passengers all received minor injuries.
The 17-year-old driver and sole occupant of the other car - is also being treated for minor injuries.

Investigators at Clonakilty garda station want to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the accident.
