Newstalk's Andrea Gilligan and Kieran Cuddihy have achieved a Guinness World Records title for the fastest time to dress a person as a Christmas tree.
After a morning spent practicing, the Newstalk presenters are official Guinness World Records title holders.
The attempt was overseen by Dave Wilson, an official adjudicator who ensured all guidelines relating to the challenge were followed.
The Guinness World Records rules state that the participant (Kieran) must resemble a Christmas tree and at the end of the attempt, the baubles must stay on for at least five seconds.
Kieran began the challenge dressed in just shorts and a t-shirt and it was up to Andrea to dress him in a green long-sleeved dress with either brown tights or trousers.
Andrea then wrapped Kieran in four two-metre lengths of tinsel and attached 12 baubles.
Finally, she placed a star attached to a conical hat on his head.
The clothes were arranged in a pile on the floor prior to the challenge.
Kieran was not permitted to help Andrea with any of the dressing.
To set the record, the pair had to complete the challenge in less than one minute and 30 seconds.
Andrea and Kieran successfully stuck to all guidelines and managed to complete the challenge in one minute and nine seconds.
Andrea and Kieran’s practice paid off with Mr Wilson confirming the pair had set a new Guinness World Records title.
