Andrea Furlong has called for the death penalty for the American man accused of killing her sister, Nicola in a Tokyo hotel last May.
In a impact statement read out in court today the 19 year old said she wanted to see a 'life for a life'.
Richard Hinds has admitted to having both hands around Nicola's neck on the night she died.
Nicola's mother Angela who has also given an impact statement asked the judge to take into account the pain Richard Hinds has caused the family and the fact that he has not taken any responsibility for what he did.
