In the hours leading up to the introduction of the bank guarantee scheme in September 2008 the CEO of Anglo Irish Bank, David Drumm, joked about the haemorrhaging of cash from the bank.
Mr. Drumm is quoted in today's Irish Independent as referring to the outflow of deposits from the zombie bank as "another day, another billion".
Meanwhile, the Taoiseach is ruling out a tribunal of inquiry into the 2008 bank guarantee - insisting a parliamentary inquiry will lead to the truth.
Enda Kenny's comments yesterday come as the Independent.ie this week releases tapes of former Anglo executives discussing the bank guarantee of 2008.
The Taoiseach hopes a parliamentary inquiry can get underway in the autumn.
