The asking prices for homes in Dublin have risen annually for the first time in 6 years. That is according to the Daft.ie House Price Report for the first quarter of 2013.
It says prices in the capital are up 0.5% on last year. That is the first increase since early 2007.
The report also notes a declining rate of fall in asking prices nationwide to 6.6%. That is down from 15% a year ago.
Economist with Daft.ie is Ronan Lyons. He says the disparity between the Dublin market and the rest of Ireland is growing.
And he says this is a good indication of prices rising rather than stability.
