An anti G8 protest in Belfast has passed peacefully. Approximately 1,500 protestors took part in the march this afternoon, ahead of the summit next week, which will see some of the world’s most powerful heads of state travel to County Fermanagh for this year’s G8 meeting.
5,000 were expected to protest, however heavy rain may have been the cause for a turnout so far below the predicted figure.
