A flyer urging Christian voters to protect children from the "beastly obsession with unholy acts" has been handed out in Co Wicklow, and widely condemned online.
The anti-marriage equality literature, which demands Christian voters contact their TDs to oppose adoption rights for gay couples, was posted on Twitter by Steve Conlon.
A friend handed this to me today. This anti #marriagequality leaflet was being handed out yesterday - no words. pic.twitter.com/Jnk5A6m7Eb

Mr Conlon, a lecturer in digital media at Dublin City University, said that the material had been handed to a friend of his in Wicklow yesterday.
"It is printed on very cheap paper and looks like it was produced on a home laser printer," Mr Conlon said.
While the flyer was handed to a family of practicing Christians, Mr Conlon stressed that the flyer appears to have no affiliation to any church organisation. He said the family who received it did not wish to be identified.
The flyer has received considerable criticism online, where its message has been widely condemned:
This is what we're up against, people. So much crazy. #SoundsOfSodomy pic.twitter.com/vvtjsSNEQr

While laughing at them is good therapy, it is still so important to take the #soundsofsodomy campaign & others like it entirely seriously.
