A protest appears to have divided a wealthy Atlanta neighbourhood in the US following speculation that Justin Bieber plans to buy a house there.
A group of residents in Buckhead are taking to the streets to voice their concerns about the possibility of the teenage singer buying an $11 (€8.01) million mansion.
The Canadian star has had a tumultuous few months where he has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and charged with assaulting a limousine driver.
His home in California was also raided by police after he and his friends were accused of causing thousands of euro worth of damage to a neighbour's home they pelted with eggs.
The protest has been organised by the Buckhead Neighbourhood Coalition on Facebook, with over 500 people pledging to join.
A statement said "Justin Bieber's relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children, as well as the community".
"Some can't even let their children play in the driveway without fear; he has raced vehicles under the influence, before. What's to say he won't do it again? As a home owner down the street from this residence, one can assume many people will be contacting real estate agents soon enough".
"Please do not allow a child to ruin what we have worked so hard to obtain" it added.
They are also worried about fans of the singer hanging around the streets and causing traffic issues. Buckhead is home to a number of celebrities like Janet Jackson and Elton John.
But the protest has provoked an angry reaction from Beliebers and other residents.
One woman posted "Other people live here and we're not going to stand around while you bully a teenager, while blatantly ignoring far more serious problems in this city - the homelessness, cocaine usage and vast inequality of wealth are just three".
"Give people a chance to change. I am sure Justin is looking for a fresh start and will behave himself. God knows the whole world's watching. Lets grow up here people. I will not absolutely NOT support a lynch mob".
Another user wrote "Who didn't make some mistakes as a kid. Let him move to Buckhead and help him grow into a decent man!".
It is thought extra police are being mobilised to make sure the event stays peaceful, and this has also angered many people who believe it is a waste of money and resources.
But there is no plan to cancel the action and it looks set to attract hundreds of people, including this person, who wrote: "Good for Buckhead community....JB is a cancer to our children....he needs to be deported".
A petition on the White House website to deport the singer has received over 262,600 signatures so far.
