The 47 style="font-size: 11px;">th Irish Antique Dealers fair gets underway in the RDS from tomorrow Friday, 5th October and runs until Sunday 7th October.
There are free public lectures on every day, and a wonderful range of Ireland’s finest antiques available to view, as well as displays on restoration, conservation, and interior decoration. This year’s exhibition will be an invitation for everyone to experience and appreciate excellence across the full spectrum of periods, materials and styles.
There will also be an exhibition of scientific instruments, including microscopes from the collections of the RDS. Featured will be many fine examples of precision instruments connected with the history of scientific development in Ireland.
Judith Miller, presenter of the BBC Antiques Roadshow and author of Miller’s Antiques Price Guide officially launches the show today and will be giving talks as well as signing copies of her new book.
Admission to the show is €10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.
