Police in London have recorded nearly double the amount of anti-semitic hate crimes in the past few months as there was this time last year.
According to the latest statistics, there have already been 71 recorded hate crimes between 1 April and 11 July, while the same time last year it was 37.
As the figures only examine up until the date 11 July, these statistics predate any influence the Gaza conflict could have had on the figures.
Unofficial statistics released by The Community Security Trust revealed that they found a 36% increase in the total number of anti-semitic incidents.
The Community Security Trust, which records attacks on the Jewish community in the UK, found there had been a 36% rise in the total number of antisemitic incident.
They found a total 130 incidents occurred in July alone, which coincided with the Israeli military offensive in Gaza.
Official results will be released by the Metropolitan Police later this month.
