Ukrainian security forces have launched what's being called an "anti-terrorist" operation in a town in the east of the country.

Pro-Russian activists seized government buildings in Slaviansk yesterday.

Russia has denied any involvement in the unrest - despite claims from Kiev it's trying to repeat what happened in Crimea.

The US Vice-President will visit Ukraine later this month.
