A man in his 20s has been seriously injured in a single-vehicle road crash in Co. Sligo. It happened on the Tubbercurry to Ballymote Road about a mile outside Tubbercurry shortly before 4am this morning.

Gardai in Ballymote are investigating. The man as the only person in the car and has been taken to Sligo General Hospital for treatment.

This stretch of road is currently closed pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are also in place.
