Police in Northern Ireland are appealing for information after a man awoke to find a burglar standing above him holding a knife.
Investigators said it happened at a home in the Sunnyside Street area of Belfast in the early hours of this morning.
The burglar demanded money from the man – before escaping with a sum of cash and an Apple watch.
The PSNI said a woman was also in the house at the time.
The pair were not injured; however, “they were both left extremely shaken by their ordeal.”
In a statement PSNI Detective Sergeant Maguire appealed to anyone who noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Sunnyside Street in the early hours of this morning, or anyone who has information that could assist detectives with their enquiries, to contact them.
