Gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the latest knife attack in Dublin. It happened on Dame Street in broad daylight on Monday.
This attack occurred shortly after 5:30pm outside the Central Bank. A man in his 20s was standing under the gold-coloured monument known as the 'Tree of Life' when he was set upon by four males.
He was seriously injured in the assault and was rushed to hospital with stab wounds to the stomach and cheek.
The attackers fled through Temple Bar, with two of them running over the Ha'penny Bridge.
Gardai believe they were aged in their late teens to early 20s, are of average build and were wearing black or dark hoodies.
They are asking anyone who saw the assault or the men running away to get in touch with them at Pearse Street Garda Station.
Dublin City Councillor Mannix Flynn says it is an appalling attack and the anti-social behaviour behind it needs to be tackled urgently.
