Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man’s body was discovered in a canal in Dublin.
The body was pulled from the Royal Canal at Ballybough Bridge at around 12:30pm yesterday afternoon.
The scene was sealed off and the remains were taken to the City Morgue in Whitehall for a post-mortem examination.
An examination of the scene has taken place.
Gardaí are investigating ‘all the circumstances’ surrounding the death and the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of their inquiries.
It remains unclear whether any foul play was involved.
Investigators are urging anyone who saw anything unusual in the area to contact them.
