An appeal has been launched for a missing teenager in Co Dublin, who was last seen getting into a car.

16-year-old Elaine Sweeney was last seen in Lucan on Wednesday.

She got into a grey BMW with an unknown registration.

She is described as being 5ft 2" in height, of thin build and has long brown hair.

When last seen Elaine was wearing a white crop top with slits along the side, a white sports bra, blue jeans and black runners.

Gardaí say they are concerned for Elaine, and any persons with information on her whereabouts are asked to contact Ronanstown Garda station on 01-666-7700, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any Garda station.
