The Director of Public Prosecutions' appeal on grounds of undue leniency against the 6-months jail sentence handed down to sex attacker Anthony Lyons will be heard in November.

The aviation broker (52) from Griffith Avenue in Dublin was convicted at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of sexually assaulting a woman as she walked home in the early hours of October 3rd 2010.

He was given a 6-years sentence with 5.5 years suspended and is now out of prison.

The hearing is scheduled for November 18th and is expected to take around 2 hours.
