Gardai in Cork has issued an appeal to the public over the whereabouts of a 4-year-old boy.

Jan Rehman - who is a Polish national - has been missing from Stephen Street since Wednesday November 6th.

He is described as being 3-foot tall and about 2 stone in weight, with brown hair and brown eyes.

It is believed that he may be in the company of his Polish mother - who is 40-years-old, 5-foot-6 in height of slim build and with mousey-brown hair.

Anyone who has seen Jan or who can assist in finding him is asked to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021-4522-000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
