Gardaí in Co Kerry are appealing for witnesses after a woman died in a crash in Killarney.
The two-car collision happened shortly after 2.00pm on Sunday on the N22 at Brennan's Glen.
The scene was attended by local Garda and Roads Policing Units, along with fire and emergency services personnel.
The woman, a passenger aged in her 40s, was seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Two other people in the same car, a man and woman both understood to be in their 70s, were taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry.
The woman is understood to be in a critical condition while the man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The deceased woman has since been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Kerry.
People in the second car - two women aged in their early 20s - were taken by Air Ambulance to Cork University Hospital and University Hospital Limerick.
Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, and are particularly appealing to those with camera footage (including dash cam) to make it available to them.
