Tech giant Apple has apologised for recent errors with its new maps.
CEO Tim Cook says they are extremely sorry for the frustration caused and are doing everything to make Maps better.
Some problems included a Zoo at Temple Bar in Dublin and an apparent airport in Dundrum in the south of the city.
Apple say they created the programme ‘from the ground up’.
“As time progressed, we wanted to provide our customers with even better Maps including features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice integration, Flyover and vector-based maps” Cook said in a statement.
“In order to do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up”.
“There are already more than 100 million iOS devices using the new Apple Maps, with more and more joining us every day”.
“The more our customers use our Maps the better it will get and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback we have received from you” he added.
Their new iPhone 5 model was launched in Ireland today.
They add that they appreciate all the feedback they have received.
